Kannawidan Festival is celebrated to show and share our treasures to the whole world. Traditions are highlighted in this Festival. And it gives importance to the locals residing in Ilocos Sur.
It commemorates the anniversary of Ilocos Sur as a province. Kannawidan means heritage or inheritance . Old and new, cultures of the Ilocano people are fixed and showcased in the festival. There are various contest circulating the Ilocano culture.
